After I encode from a source .avi in TMPGEnc, sometimes I come up with a different length in the video. Most of the time it's less length but it ends with the same scene...doesn't cut anything off the end. Its almost as if it gets sped up slightly from the original.
For example:
most recently I tried encoding what was supposed to be the first 1:07:41 of The Four Feathers, but my .m1v created by TMPGEnc ended up being only 1:07:36.
I encoded the audio which was also 1:07:41 and multiplexed them both together with BBMpeg, and the final result was also 1:07:41. However, after about 5-10 minutes the audio and video start to slip and by the end of the movie the audio ends about 5 seconds before the video (strange to me because if the audio is longer than the video wouldn't it end after the video?) any ideas to maybe help fix this or what the cause might be?
I verified that the lag does not exist in the source .avi and i also verified that the source .avi does not have any undecodable frames using VirtualDub. So I'm not thinking it's the source .avi, but then again I could be wrong...
