When im done encoding my movie, it looks fine in WMP, but when i burn it it and watch it on my TV it stays on the top right corner!

Any thoughts?

have you checked the compatiblity of your dvd-player with kvcd´s different resolutions?

if not, try this

I converted an DIVX movie to KVCD. I used only VirtualDub and TMPGENC.Using Virtualdub i save the audio as a seperate .WAV file. Then i used a TextSub Filter to add subtitles and then used Frameserve to create a movie image w/ the subtitles. I opened TMPGENC then used the KVCDx2-CQ-704x480-_NTSCFilm_-PLUS.mcf template(Didnt adjust any settings as it has worked fine before). Choose my frameserve file as the video (VDR) and my seperate WAV as the audio and hit run. Seems fine when playing it on any software but on da TV is it crampped in the corner.

Ok, what brand/model is your standalone player :?:

gerrycurl21 04-27-2003 12:05 AM

Pioneer Dv-333

"My Sassy Girl-POSTX" just incase u were wondering

Yep, Pioneers suffer from that! Encode as MPEG-2 and mux as VCD (Not as SVCD), and it should look ok in your standalone player :!:

Edit: From the compatibility page, it's noted that it only plays MPEG-1 at 352x240 and 704x480. So for other resolutions, use the method described above.

Use http://www.kvcd.net/SKVCD-352x480-_NTSC_.mcf but change the resolution to 704x480 if that's the one you want to use.
