Hi - Sorry bit of an off topic. I have several 352x576 good quality KVCD encodes that look great on my DVD. Without going back to the original VOBs, what is the easiest way to re-size these mpegs to play on say WMP with the right aspect ratio. Can it be done without reencoding?
Thanks

Thanks Jorel

I was wondering if there was a way to modify the file to play on WMP so I can play on work machine without having to install additional software.

Cheers

ozjeff99,
additional software?

zoomplayer standard, only 711kb!

works like a charm and accept lots of filters..
play audio,video.....and tons more!
and the better...is free!

get it,you will like it!
is a good recomendation friend.

I use media player classic, similar to zoom.

To answer your question though you could try dvd patcher and patch a new resolution but make sure you test on a copy as this can seriously screw up the file (memories of failed attempt on wedding video and wife who was less than impressed)

You can always return the file to it's original resolution
It's just a header patch

@ all

my doubt...

do you all think that is better (and simple):
modify the file or use another small and smart player?

what the advantages to see the movie in wmplayer if
another player(zoomplayer for example) do the perfect job?

Hi Jorel,

You're probably right that ZoomPlayer is a great option, but some people might not be allowed to install software on their computers at work and that is where ozjeff99 said he wanted to view his file (bosses can get angry!). Also, some people just don't like to install too many extra programs, because "more stuff on your PC = more problems" usually.
