I was under the impressions the KDVD template was for making DVD-archival quality backups, designed for dvd-r. This implies DVD resolution (740x480 or whatever). Most TV shows are 352x480 or something, so a template designed for DVD-resolutions would probably destroy your TV program (assuming you tried to resize to 740x480).
Otherwise, why wouldn't you use the KVCD or KVCD2 templates? You should be able to get 2 50min programs on a single CD, and unless you have really great equipment, I doubt you'd be able to tell a difference....

KDVD originated from my BVD beta templet the idea was dvd compatibility on 3 or less cds and kwag tought this was a good idea.

His templet is basicly the same as mine except witha highier max bitrate and lower min bitrate.

To put this on a cd d/l his templet and lower the max bitrate until it works onyour dvd player.

How can you say that baker? I haven't even seen your template!
You haven't posted it anywhere, and you only offer it by e-mail to people!

Just a note:
KDVD template is the same as the DVD template included with TMPEG.
I added the Q. Matrix supplied by Andreas from Germany, my own GOP structure with closed number of frames ( 18 ) for DVD compatibility, CQ mode and audio at 192Khz.

Kwag,

Did you mean to say 'KDVD' in the previous post?
(These acronyms are becoming confusing, no?)

LOL, that's really funny. I'm pretty sure Kwag made his original dvd template not from the so called bvd beta but because of that guy's constant nagging about the subject. Check here:

By the way, if you are going to name your template after yourself like Kwag did, I suggest you pick a different letter/initial because BVD is synonymous with underwears if you know what I mean.
