What is the best way to encode a 20 FPS source. I tryied AssumeFPS but the results are not sattisfactory as the audio is speeded up considerably.

Should I use ConvertFPS or avisynth filter? what are optimal settings.
Is there is any other way?

Many thanks.

I would just convert as you would with any source and let TMPGEnc do a framerate conversion to 23.976...the file will be the original speed (although it may be a little jerky) and you can convert the audio normally. Not sure how prediction would work though....

The results using the internal avisynth filter ConvertFPS is not really great. I will try with TMPGEnc to check if it is better.

Any other suggestions?

Thanks
