Encoding: MPEG-1 or MPEG-2 format ?
 

Recently, I have been hearing on the web, about this so called: "MPEG-1/2 format" I need to know how it compares with other MPEG formats,mainly if there is better picture quality, better compression etc. I've heard of MPEG 1, MPEG 2, MPEG 4.....but MPEG 1/2...well,thats new to me.

Why do these tmpgenc folks have to put a divisional slash bar? It just confuses the hell out of everybody!

hmmm, yeah,,,i think mpeg1/2 lets you do only half of the movie.
similar to dvd2one allowing only 30 mins for the demo.
i think there's a mention to it on this local toronto computer paper, (canadacomputes.com) pg 18. Wouldnt mpeg3/4 let you do the other half of the movie?
