I had a high quality xvid source and after encoding, the video was awesome but the audio is out of synch the whole movie after muxing the video and audio together. What can i do to solve this?

Hola,

I encode quite a bit of Divx/Xvid, and I can tell you your problem is likely corrupt frames in the video that are screwing the stream up. These gentlemen were kind enough to point me to Divx Repair, a freeware tool to isolate and render a fixed version of the original .avi. If you see over a hundred bad frames, though, you might consider calling it off... and 're-acquiring' your source.

Wish I had this about a week ago...just did an Xvid with bad frames...
"hand to eye" repair was a Bear!..

I'm asking cos I suggested it to friend and he got mpg with serious video/audio asinc .
