I was wondering if an authoring software will accept a dvd mpeg with 23.97 fps, because most programs won't let you import an mpeg file unless it's the standard format for dvd 29.97, let me know if it will work in spruceup, ulead movie factory, or spruceup, thanks!

You can encode at 23.976, but you have to set the 3:2 pulldown when playback flag.
Try the KDVD template. That's the way it's set as default. DVDit and SpruceUp will import the mpegs created with this template without errors.
