TMPGEnc: Sequence header error from TMPGEnc encodings

Any video I encode to mpeg2 using TMPGEnc gets an "GOP header must be proceded by Sequence header" error, when I try to create DVD files or DVD burn using DVDit. Is there a setting I'm forgetting in TMPGEnc?

Thanks a bunch!

What template are you using in TMPEG to create your DVD. DVD specs. are very strict.
Have you tried the KDVD template posted here in the main site?
The files you create with it will import correctly without errors in DVDit.

I've used both the original TMPEG template and the KDVD template, as well as TMGEG versions 2.54 and 2.55. Neither work, I still get the same error importing to DVDit. Very strange since I know the templates work for everyone else.

The problem is with DVDit!

Just read on the TMPEG wedbsite that someone else was having the same problem.

The problem is with DVDit, not TMPEG. The encoded files will import to other programs just not to DVDit so some odd reason. I tested another program (NeroVision) and the mepg2 file did indeed import. I guess I just won't be able to use DVDit for video encoded with TMPEG.

Thanks for the help though.....

Did you try to re-install TMPGEnc, sometimes this helps, I just encoded Hollow Man with KDVD using TMPGEnc and it worked great with both DVDit and MyDVD, recorded the movie on a Panasonic LF321 DVD Burner.

Hey Bud:

Have you tried chapters? I haven't figured out how to take the chapters from ChapterXtractor and pasting them into DVDit or SpruceUp.
I know how to do it manually, but it's a pain!

I used to use "dvdit" and it seems very picky about the "gop" structure of the mpegs it will import, and each gop has to have a sequence header and when the gop"s are not the standard gop sequence sometimes it will choke on the mpegs, I don"t use it anymore because it is so picky, "ulead dvd movie factory" seems to accept most mpeg"s and has most of the same features as dvdit......
