Do you see the difference between CQ 70 and 75?

I don't see it. Then again, I don't watch the results closely and compare them. I just know what my eyes like

ToK gave me a CQ 70 but the file was 674 megs, the audio is 89 megs so I can add a little CQ more, is it worth it?

I'd say that if you have the time to do another encode, yes. What resolution do you use?

If the movie originally has a very good 5.1 soundtrack, it might also be worth raising the audio bitrate, for example from 128 to 160kbps.

I´m using 704x576, it´s a cartoon, Atlantis! The original audio is, Audio : 106 Mb, 156 Kbps, 48000 Hz, 2 chan., 0x55 = MPEG Layer-3, Supported
And yes, I have the time...

I have done some toons at 704x480 and others at 528x480 and the one at 528 look a lot better must be cause the 704 template is a low to medium action template and you see the little squares with fast action toons. :)

Definitely go for a new encode. With that resolution it might make a difference

I agree with ovg64 :!:
It's better to go for 528x480(576), as it will let you raise the CQ far beyond 704x480(576) :)

i'm curious CheronAph!

you use:
CQ 70 ,
704x576,
the audio is 89 megs
and can add a little more CQ :?:

what is the final time of this movie? :?

seems to me that can be more than 60 minutes,
maybe 80 minutes, right?
then i'm loosing some cos with this resolution, audio and CQ,
can i put this all in 1 cd 700mb? 8O

:?:

The movie is 95 minutes 8) and I used CQ 75, I just muxed it and cutted the end credits off, the final size of the .mpg was 772 megs! So I could have added some more CQ!

jorel 05-18-2003 07:51 AM

95 minutes CheronAph ?

8O

i never try this resolutions and sizes .
the max that i got was 480x480 with
CQ66 in 82 minutes cutting final credits:!:

i think that with more (re)size and more CQ means more quality, right?
of course, i was doing the last Kwag's script in MovieStacker
and encode in ToK after got the prediction value!

am i doing something wrong?
:?
