KVCD: the picture has BIG black borders?
I'm doing a batch encode in Tmegenc using KVCD x3. During encoding the picture has BIG black borders. I went to play back using WinDVD and the borders are present there as well. Is this going to show up on the TV, and if so, how did this happen? I'm running the files without any Avisynth scripts....
Any ideas? |

I didn't deviate from standard X3 (no filters or adjusted settings)

Reno :)
edit the KVCDx3mpeg(x)NTSCFilm.mcf (notepad, you know) and see if this lines are the same like mine .mcf : MPEG.Video.Width = 528 MPEG.Video.Width_ReadOnly = False MPEG.Video.Height = 480 MPEG.Video.Height_ReadOnly = False you're in California, is NTSC of course. ... :?: |
Yep, those lines are the same. This is driving me up the wall!!

I haven't had a chance to watch this on a TV yet. Could I be getting worked up over nothing?

it can be great on tv and maybe without any black borders. please post the result after you see on tv! :!: |
OK, burning it right now. Major variations in quality among these files... they're all different SNL caps from tv, so I think the borders were more prevalent in lower res sources...
guess I'll find out soon enough. 38% to go :) |
well, the stupid borders where there. Good thing my DVD has a zoom function.

hi guys..
@ Reno * Do you recall what you AR was set to ?? This will throw off your boarders some. * Also, did you 8O forget 8O to reset your OUTPUT AR from 16:9 back to ... 4:3 under Video Tab ?? I did some captures of SNL this weekend.. Beyonce Knowles performed a few good tunes (and moves, and her backup dancers too  ) @ SNL: Hay, did you see where she F**Ked up on the lip-sink 8O hehe.. ..but the crowd, they fell asleep or wer too aw'ed on the dancers to care any. -vhelp |
