Encoding: MPEG error message when trying to convert video?
Just recently started having problems using any video conversion related software with Win XP Pro. Each time I try TMPGEnc or any software that converts from VOB to MPEG I get the MPEG error message. I may have lost my codecs but I 'm not sure how. IMy question is how do I correct this? Is there a way to delete all the current MPEG codecs and have Win Xp re-install the proper codecs for MPEG conversion. Many thanks for any assistance.

Hi Bud, I would deinstall all the Mpeg conversion programs n then clean the register w a program like Norton Utilities, after install only the programs that you really need, if that doesn't help than call Dr K.

Thaks for the information. I'll give that a try...my last resort is to do a total re-format..........I'll leu know the results on the process suggested.
