DVD2SVCD: Motion search or high quality?

Hello Kwag or who ever else can help me. I have been trying the dvd2svcd ini (kvcd lbr) you posted in this forum and i noticed some where else in this forum that you were testing the difference between motion search and high quality and also CQ and CQ VBR. I try to follow what you are saying in your tests but just get completely lost. Could you please tell me what changes, if any, i should make to this .ini. to make it better ie. the gop or tha new matrix i here you people talk about but cant find what the settings are.

Thanks in advance to who ever can help. CHEERS!

(i am using the updated 1150 - 300 bittrate version in this forum)

Hello ftin (Welcome!),

Motion estimation set to "High quality" is better that "Fast". Also CQ is better than CQ_VBR. There's a super long thread (~40 pages) you might want to read, which is related to CQ vs. CQ_VBR, etc.: http://www.kvcd.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2073
As far as the .INI file for DVD2SVCD, one of the best persons to help you is jorel, because he uses DVD2SVCD almost exclusively. I haven't used it in a while :?
Check the DVD2SVCD area in this forum. There are hundreds of hints there :!:
