Encoding MOV to MPEG - illegal floating decimal ?
 
It always says illegal floating decimal when i use the template on this site. I have the QTReader.whatever but it just doesnt work. Thanks for help.

Hey JoeyJoeJoJr:

This not a template problem. This is a CODEC problem.

I have never done a MOV to MPEG, because the results are just like a DIVx to MPEG, pretty bad!. The reason is that DIVx is already a re-comression from another re-compression (DVD's, etc ), so it's a third generation of material getting re-compressed again into mpeg.

The results are very poor. I suggest only video captures and DVD material only as source for final mpeg.

Actually if you can get yer hands on EO Video (i believe thats what its called) then itll convert yer Quicktime .MOV's fairly well.. I always had a problem with .MOV's in Tmpgenc. Sometimes theyd work but most times they wouldnt.
This prg worked fairly good. Still not the greatest quality :)
