Comparison samples

Kwag (or anyone willing):

Do you have any samples using the same section of footage done with both templates for comparison? I know, I know, do it myself, but I don't have a good dvd-rom yet ;) Both templates being 352x480 and 704x480 (KVCD and KVCDx2). Thanks!

No. I don't have any right now. I'll try to do some clips from the same sections with all templates and post them.

just i point of note kwag. im not sure if ur aware of this or not but i encoded an mpg file 352x240 with the kvcd temp no changes made and the size came to be 1.17. then i used the file i had just encoded ie the one at 352x480 and encoded that with the kvcdx2 for 1 cd with no changes made and the size came to 1.04gig what is the reason for the file differnence? i thought the file encoded with the kvcdx2 would be larger. oh and i should mention i encoded at a very slow speed with the highest quailty and i have found by doing other encodes that if ur file comes out to be over 1gig with encodeing speed at normal u can bring the size down by about 100mb if u reencode at the slowest speed, there isnt much difference in quailty but a smaller file size. oh by the way the movie i encoded is 2hours 56mins long and i think if i cut out the credits and use overburn on a 900mb cd it might just fit.

Hi aderunn3r !!!

You can try but 1Gb file is to big even for CD-R90 ( at max 945mb) .
Even if you cut titles of ~5min still it will be larger then 945mb .
So - you can demux the file and encode just audio to 96-112kbps (it's good enough) and save another 15-25% of size of audio file - 15-30mb .
Remux audio and video and enjoy the movie .
(It works fine every time )
