Hi Kwag,

I have been using DVD2AVI successfully for over one year now. I have been Dolby Digital to Decode instead of Demux becuase I want a .wav file rather than an .ac3 file. I know this takes longer to frameserve. but I don't mind.

Well, yesterday I went to frameserve The Rock (23.97/Progressive). I had Force Film on. It started off normally and then sudenly went flying through the rest of the movie in a matter of minutes. It ususally takes around 90 minutes! I only ended up with a .wav file 40MB in size (as opposed to a 1GB< file).

For giggles, I tried using demux instead of decode and obtained a 40MB .ac3 file. Is this file size on par with a 2+ hour movie? I know there are ways to convert .ac3, but I don't wish to use other applications, expecially when I haven't had any problems for over one year now with my current decode settings.

Any ideas for resolving this matter?

Thanks.

Kwag,

I originally ripped using DVD Decrypter. After havig used Smart Ripper, all seems well. I will let you know when I finish.

Thanks.

Also, my .AC3 file was 400MB, not 40MB.

Open your VOBs with MPEG Mediator, and extract your WAV this way. See if it extracts the complete file. If it doesn't, then it was probably an error during DVD riping. If so, I would rip the DVD again with DVDDecrypter.
