OK,

I invested more than a week to figure this out. I can make SVCD's with Smartripper and DVDx. Even the guide http://www.kvcd.net/guides/kguide/kvcdguide.htm is pretty clear. However It still doesn't do what I want -> Make a (K)SVCD to fit one single 80min. CD-R.

The mentioned guide doesn't go into the subtitles and is focused on VCD (not KSVCD) if I'm correct. Also tried DVD2SVCD but there I cannot use the KVSCD (TMPG) templates.

I think I'm almost there, but after one week of study, reading faqs/guides/forumposts I'm almost ready to give up.

Who can give me the last "push" in the right direction........? .

This guide works fine for KSVCD too, just load the KSVCD template into TMPGEnc instead.

If you want to fit it on one CD, try Rendalunit's Moviestacker and ToK Guide.

Thanks PyRoMaNiA,

I'll look into this guide later and let you know (one of the few guides I didn't read...).

Can you help me on the subtitle part or don't you copy a lot of "french art" movies ....

Thanks Jorel,

sorry about the double postings.............

Your link was quite interesting. I will go and experiment with VobSub (lots of stuff to figure out still so I read in your link.)

I wish DVD2SVCD would work with KVCD templates ! so you have an all in one program to do the job.........
