Sometimes when I load up the VOB source moviestacker says my movie is PAL when it's not and/or non-anamorphic when I know it is.

Is this because I'm using AVS 2.52?

I also get similiar inconsistent results when using the .d2v file instead of the actual vobs.

I don't really trust it

You're not supposed to load VOBs in MovieStacker
Only .d2v files
Also, you should now use DVD2AVI 1.77.3 with the new MPEG2DEC3.dll if you're using avisynth 2.52.
