DVD2SVCD: SVCD Copying

I have an svcd that I acquired. I am trying to copy it. At first I thought I couldn't, so I converted it to VCD and burned it. It came out good as a VCD. I burned the svcd as an IMAGE on my NTCI CD maker and burned it to a cdr. It plays the same quality, but it flickers and stops sometimes and sometimes it starts to show alot of blocks. Is there any way that I can Copy an SVCD to a cd without converting it to anything. I have a guide (SVCD to SVCD) that shows me how to do that but it converts thru TMPGenc, but that takes to long to do.(8-10 hours) on my computer. I just want to make copies of my SVCD. Thanks....

i never had problems with svcds or vcds using clonecd.

OKay my next project is backing up my EMPIRE DVD. I have the video part right but the audio comes out to low. I have to have the volume up all the way on my t.v. for it to come out decent. I am a newbie at making svcd's. I use smart ripper, then dvd2avi. I Pick the first track from the dvd and decode it to wav. Then save the project file. (.d2v) The i load it up into the TMPGenc and use the original SVCD template. Cut the movie into 2 and add the video and audio together. All my ohter movies come out with good quality and sound, but this one is a mess with the volume. CAn anyone tell me how to raise the volume on it. I tried Normalization at 100%, but that didn't work either. THanks....???

normalization is probably what is screwing you up. It will normalize the entire track so that lows and highs become closer together. So if you have lound background or music and speaking at the same time the speach will seem muffled.

Or use a higher bitrate to encode your audio.
