KVCD Sample Files?

so, do i just burn the mpegs to a disk and see if they play in my dvd player? or is there a process to get them to work?

also, i wont be ripping from dvd, is there a guide to just encodeing divx or xvid .avi?

and that guide (i think by red-m, sorry if i got your s/n wrong) is great, but is there a dummied down beginners guide somewhere?
