Is there a program that can demultiplex AVI files?

I know TMPGEnc and MPEG2VCR both handle multiplexing and demultiplexing MPEG files.

Is there a program that can demultiplex AVI files?

I have several AVI files where either the sound is in the right format and the video is not or vise versa. I am looking for a simple program to multiplex AVI files, ideally in a batch process.

Thanks in advance.

Virtualdub !

Simply go to audio menu, set process mode to "direct copy", then go to file menu and select "save wav" : as you are doing a 'direct copy', it's not a wav tha is saved but directly the audio stream of your video, and thats what you want.

Just change the ext from wav to wathever you want (mpa, mp2, ogg...)

Never thought of that.... DOH!

I always thought it converted the audio to a WAV format...

Thanks Dialhot.
