Encode settings in DVD Movie Factory?

Kwag

I ran a 113 movie with your KDVD template as is, the file is 2,023,001 GB. Somewhere in the forum you indicated that we should not allow the DVD software to convert the Audio to PCM, how to I set up DVD Movie Factory so it will encode and maintain the small file size so I can get two per DVD-R? I ran a tst and indications are the total file size after encodng is around 3GB. Many thanks

Hi Bud:

I don't think DVD Movie Factory works correctly. I tried an mpeg created with the KDVD template, and Movie Factory does create the DVD structure in the disk ( I always do that before burning  ) but the VOB plays back jerky. I tried encoding at 29.97 instead of 23.976 with pull down ( as in the standard DVD templates ), and then it played correctly. But encoding at 29.97 you loose quality an compression, as the original DVD's are FILM.
So I didn't mess around anymore with Movie Factory.
DVDit and SpruceUp are the best so far.

Hey Kwag,

I've been searching for quite a while trying to find SpruceUp. I understand there's a trial version available somewhere, but Google is no help. Is this hosted on some video site somewhere?

Spruce Up is no longer available nor is it support, I just checked their Web page, however you can get a copy of the old trail version at

http://www.afterdawn.com/software/vi...s/spruceup.cfm

Keep in mind this is still a trail version.
