I just got done converting KANGAROO JACK from DVD to VCD and SVCD using DVD2SVCD. I'm using the kvcd_lbr.ini TEMPLATE and getting GREAT results with both. Here's my question:
What are the PRO's and CON's between using VCD / SVCD. Are there certain conditions when you'd WANT to use 1 over the other?? I would think that since the SVCD is 480x480 and the VCD is 352x240 that the SVCD would ALWAYS be better.

THANKS for ANY responces and ideas.

I use SVCD since it is sharper and more detailed. My dvd player, Magnavox MRD200 home theater, plays SVDS much smoother than VCD. I have been making good 1-3 CD backups of movies using DS2Roba with DVD2SVCD. I got Kangaroo Jack onto 1 CD and it looks good on my 43" HDTV!

PS- I am using CCE instead of TMPGenc with 1 pass VBR using DS2Roba...

Oh yeah-

I used 480 x 480 SVCD resolution with 160k audio for 2-3 cd encodes and 352 x 480 CVD resolution with 128K audio for 1-cd encodes.
