Just thought it would be useful to know - perhaps this could be fixed somehow.

I read more posts and found out abou the filename length problem - definitely the reason for the above. I was using very long filenames -of the form myhero-1xn-bla bla bla bla bla-k3s.mpg... It works fine now (I just use a short name instead.)

Because I mux in that way with bbmpeg so my player will play the KVCD(x3) and this causes some more overhead.

That's a muxing issue. Not a CQMatic issue

You are right -- but it could be a preset size perhaps (776megs for an 80m CD)... just thinking aloud.. or we could set our own preset sizes?

CalcuMatic Latest version -> 1.0.7 http://www.kvcd.net/CalcuMatic.exe
Now displays correct time when project file was made without "Force FILM", and frame rate is 29.97fps.

@All,
This new version now takes into consideration DVD/VCD/SVCD multiplex overhead.
A button, which defaults to "No Mux Overhead", can be toggled between that, "VCD/SVCD Mux Overhead" and "DVD Mux Overhead".
I also added "Tooltips" to all items.

Enjoy

Thanx Karl for the new version
Since we can go directly from VOB now is there a way to get the Source to grab the VOB or no.
Just curious

Thanks bigggt,
No. I wish that too
I would have to scan the complete VOB (just like when you open a VOB in Vdub) to get the complete time code.
So that's a no no
You can, however, open AVI files. Both XviD, DivX and Huffy.

Thanx Karl
I figured it wasn't logical or it would have been done a long time ago

Well, thinking about it, I could probably use some of my "turbo" reading routines that I use in DIKumciser. But I would still have to scan the complete file. I'm sure it would be faster than the time it takes to load a VOB, say in Vdub, but it would still be maybe a couple of minutes or so to scan a ~5GB VOB.
But I'll give it a thought for a future version

Corrected size error if choosing 24Min. (240MB) CD-R size.
Corrected to exact size for DVD5 selection.
Corrected to exact size for DVD9 selection.
Renamed 4.7GB DVD to 4.7GB DVD5, in target selection.
Renamed 9.4 DVD to the corrrect definition of dual layer DVD which is 8.5GB DVD9, in target selection.
9.4GB would be the case for a double sided DVD. Not a dual layer DVD, as it was labeled
( Thanks again Encoder Master, for pointing out the dual layer size issue )
