Not a problem.
Thanks Kwag - it's brilliant (I like the preview too, very nice). This is in PowerBasic I take it? Sounds like fun!
Most of the basics I've played with are geared to games, not apps.. Liberty, XBasic, DarkBasic and Blitz (tried them all, to small degrees.)

HI is anything needed special for the new version, when i hit preview i get the box to open and hear the audio but can't see no video, tried different sources
I also don't understand reading the ifo
I popped the dvd in went to video folder and picked the first ifo and also got -4000( i went through all 19 to be sure and they all were under 2 minutes except the alst one which was also -4000)
I know i am doing something wrong but can't seem to get it

Exactly. You need the original vts_01.ifo file Quote:

No No
It's PureBasic. Not Powerbasic Quote:

PureBasic is also geared at developing games, or anything!, because the output is optimized assembly language. That's why it's so fast and so space efficient. Just like if you had coded it in assembler. As a matter of fact, you can even hand optimize the assembly output if you want, before compiling to machine code. But that's an extreme case (if you really need it)

After you click "Preview" and the box opens, when you hear the audio, if you move the box can you see video
This happened to me last night, and it might be a problem with DirectX. When I moved the box the video appeared. I'll look into that. Quote:

edit-Just tried a different dvd(Spy Kids) and it worked so maybe its that some dvd's it won't work with.
Don't know if its anything to do with it but the Scary Movie has computer stuff on it,what i mean is with spykids it only has 2 folders(audio and video) but with Scary Movie it has 6 folders

Kwag,
i'm still getting negative values from .ifo files:
minutes -4800
seconds -79
and all numbers in "results" are negatives too.
loading the .d2v from the same vobs source i get:
minutes 76
seconds 36
of course all numbers in "results" are rights!
doubts:
how the "preview" work? no matter the source choosed i get:
error,
can't load the movie...
thanks!

I'll fix that a little later. I'm adding some stuff right now Quote:

You can only preview AVI or MPG files.
If you open a IFO, the source is really a VOB, and I can't preview that (at this time).

Fixed: Movie preview wouldn't display until screen was moved.
Added: Animated spinner on "Preview" button, indicating that preview playback screen in active.
Added: IMDB (Internet Movie Database) quick movie search browser.
Just type your favorite movie title, and a pop-up web browser will immediately display all matching titles.
From there, just copy&paste movie time into "Minutes" field of CalcuMatic.
Note: The idea is for a future version to automatically pick the movie runtime, and automatically fill in the minutes field
Added: Animated spinner on "IMDB" button, indicating that IMDB search screen in active.
