Can you please try the following (had the same error and it worked for me):
Code:
Open TMPGEnc, go into Source Range, enter range from 0 to -1, exit window and leave source range activated. Save your project file and try again please.

Hi break,

What is the complete path to your file to be encoded.
That would be the .avi or .d2v.

iŽd like to have a 120min movie on a 90min cdr, well, my question is about the MINIMUM BITRATE; should i use 0,57*avg bitrate, or 0,75*avg bitrate ???

Hi Kwag, the path is
mpeg2source("c:\straight_scn\video_ts\movie.d2v")

@Krassi
Thanks Krassi, I'll try your suggestion as soon as I can shutdown TMPGEnc...

MIN = 0.57 * average

Nothing to do, I test it but no way, after the first encoding prediction, CQ go up to 90 (as in my precedent log)!

@All,
I just edited the "Instructions and notes" on the first post of this thread, with the correct way to set TMPEG's project file.

Instructions and notes:

1) *** TMPGEnc Project file must be saved as "text" project *** CQMatic will not read TMPGEnc's propietary project files
.

this is ok

2) You must make sure that you save the project without source range selection, and "Cut editing" cleared (or reset), and start frame set to 0 and end frame set to -1

this is ok

then I save the project, close TMPGEnc, run CQMatic and run prediction:
first pass as CQ 60, second... CQ 90!

Thank in any case, kwag. You are great: you program, encode your movie, reply to our posts and this all in the same time!

Hi break,

Something is not right in your project file. I don't know if I asked this before, but what version of TMPEG are you using

That's the name of my output file name. That's the way it's set in my project file in TMPEG.
So it will be displayed in the log, to remind you it's going to be overwritten when TMPEG starts to encode

Hi Kwag..

Thanks for the explanaa..

Actually, I was looking for the "relevence" of your source. I have finally
deduced that you were trying to test for "shorter" movie files, and hence,
you encoded something into an .m1v and was using THAT as your
short file TEST ??

Actually, no!
I encode all my movies as .m1v, and later, I mux the audio.
That's why all my project file's video file name always has a .m1v extension.
