hello again guys

i have a couple of quick quezzies about calcumatic if you will humour me

1. can it be used with QuEnc or FreeEnc? if so.....what do i put down for max bitrate so i can make 1cd conversions? or will it make a difference on final video size?

2. calcumatic gives me 2 average bitrate values.....one of them has 0.57*Average in front of it......what is this one for and why or how would i use this?

thanks, and i appologise if the are dumb questions

cheers

HI KYUSS

i don't know the answer to your first question but this

Code:
0.57*Average
Is used for the minimum bitrate in Tmpge

What are you speaking about ? Calcumatic ? It can be used for any tool that need to know an average bitrate (i.e, even if it works in 2pass).
And min and max don't have any importance there.

Hi All!,

New: Supports up to 4 different audio bitrates, so when authoring (K)DVDs, you can calculate each track with different bitrates.
(Thanks to rds_correia for the idea )
Link always available on the first post of this thread.
Or here: http://www.kvcd.net/downloads/CalcuMatic.exe

As I've already said before, Karl u da man.
A few hours latter I post the request and you already have a release candidate...

I just can't thank you enough.
I'll post any bugs in the original thread
Cheers

Hi Kwag,
I use the latest version of neuron2's dgindex (an update/bugfix to dvd2avi).
When I try to open a d2v file created by dgindex using calcumatic, I get an error:
File is not a valid DVD2AVI project file!

Could you try to support this changed format?

Best regards.

There is no realk need to open the d2v with calcumatic : this is necessary only to retrieve the length (in minutes) of the source, but you can enter it manually !

Of course, you are right, it's a good enough workaround. The reason I posted this was that I usually open the d2v - it's my usual behaviour!
I found an earlier version of calcumatic which did read it, strange.

I'm in panic.
If the thread was 42 pages and now it's only 38, which posts are not visible?
Were those erased?
Or is it just showing more posts per page and they're all there?
Cheers

I just ran a quick prediction test with the latest CQMatic, and with the new TMPGEnc Plus version ( 2.524.63.181 )
CQMatic hit CQ value on the second cycle
Coincidence Or did Pegasys-inc fixed CQ linearity on the encoder
