Max Bitrate for Half D1 DVD?

I was just wondering if it was alright to change the Max Bitrate on the Half-D1 template to 5000.

If I chagned this would the quality gain be worth the file size increase?

Also can I use a resolution of 528 x 576/480 for DVD encodes?

528 x 576/480 is not an standard DVD resolution. May work in your player, but nothing garantees it will work in somebodyelse's. If it doesn't matter, you can use.
Probabilly increasing the Max won't be worth it if you are encoding widescreen film material.

You can use the 528x576/480 resolution. I think TMPGEnc DVD Author will acept it. If not, U can always patch that it thinks it is regular. Patch the final created VOB back to the 528x576 resolution and all player will play it probably...
