DVD2SVCD: VCDXBuild failed to create a bin/cue file
 

Anybody had this problem before in DVD2SVCD 1.1.3 build 2 before ??

(VCDXBuild failed to create a bin/cue file!)

Antivirus on/off doesn't seem to mater. Recover doesn't work. I've seen this on my first attempts with DVD2SVCD also but after that it worked OK.

Any ideas ??

The settings used for making KVCD completly screw up VCDxBuild chaptering. That's a known problem, and that's why it's suggested to turn of image making from D2S and do it afterwards, with VCDeasy.

Hmmm.....not so easy to do it afterwards with VCDeasy.

I copied and pasted the time indexes for chapters to VCD easy but after creating the cue/bin and burning the bin (with Nero) -> no chapters.

Also the error message with "failure to create bin" in DVD2SVCD doesn't happen al the time. The previous SKVCD I did went fine and the chapters worked OK (?).

Anyway, I'm doing another DVD backup project now (Disney's - The Fox and the Hound) with ripping using internal routines.....(I hope no more audio out of sync this time......).

Can we use another one of the automatic image creater in DVD2SVCD? like IAuthor or somthing?

Anyone know how to do chapters in VCDeasy after DVD2SVCD is finished ?

I can't get it to work....(pasting the time indexes into VCDeasy)...

Actually VCDXBuild does work in DVD2SVCD muxing as SVCD using AVALON's guide, I've done tree movies so far with no problems.

DVD2SVCD-->(Settings KVCD, CD Image= Don´t make Images)-->SVCD Creation finished!

then:

Misc.-->Recover-->dvd2svcd project file.d2s-->SVCD Authoring

change:

Output file type=MPEG-2
CD Image=VCDXBuild

and Continue!

AVALON's guide is MPEG2, so maybe that is why I have no problems.

It worked, thanks ! I have Gladiator now on 1xCDR80 with KVCD muxed as SVCD with chapters.

Phil, in another thread you mentioned you make al your KVCD as MPEG 1 SVCD's. What settings do make in BBmpeg and on the Misc tab of DVD2SVCD ? (BBMPEG is SVCD or MPEG2 ?, Misc is MPEG 1 ?).

BBMpeg settings are SVCD while encoder is set to MPEG1 (in "misc" tab). That's why it makes MPEG1 SVCD.
