...... Noob question for you.

please let me apologise for the somewhat misleading subject title but i am experiencing problems. Divx to KVCD, black princes guide, im following it to the letter but get confused when the script part comes along, what do i do with scripts. And then after that bit i get stuck with tok / settings all of the settings i can find apart from Work Directory,Sampler.dll and WLA Path ( i have no idea what the WLA path is) anyway i set it going with some junk in there and it encoded a 12mg file but that was it, help. The guide is an excellent but for a total beginner a little daunting

TIA

Chimp

N.B. If i can be educated i will be more than willing to spread the KVCD word and help future Noobs

Your AVS script will give you great quality at decent file sizes. You'll need Avisynth (2.08 or 2.52) installed. Always be sure to open up your AVS script in VirtualDub or WMP to make sure it plays before you try to encode.

For ToK settings:

Work Directory = whatever you want your working directory to be. This is where your output files, as well as ToK working files, will be placed.

Sampler = Location of sampler.dll, and Avisynth plugin. Look where all your other plugins are at (take a look at the top of your AVS script).

WLA = Wave Length Adjust. This is an audio tool. Not sure if it is a separate download or not. I'm sure you can search the net to find it, or search your local machine and see if another tool already installed it.

Right I'm struggling here. I'll run you through what i do...

Extract the audio using virtualdub from my avi, convert this .wav to .mp2. Open Movie stacker create my script from a preset and save it. open Tok load all the settings with the exception of WLA path cos im not sure what that is. Load my script of and TMPGEnc opens for five seconds a time about five times and BBMpeg is running unitl the 00.mpg is complete then i get an error message saying coad not save .op/tok.ini. Anyone any ideas??

TIA Chimp
