KVCD: file size bigger than expected? won't fit cd?

I just encoded Happy Gillmore dvd rip with KVCD template. I changed the resolution from 352x480 to x240 and set the CQ to 82. But, the file was alot bigger than i expected. It ended up encoding a 967 MB file. This is the only time that this happenned to me. Usually i get 500 MB or less. Any help? Thanx
