Encoding Interlaced NTSC VOB files, what to do next?
I have NTSC, 29.97, interlaced VOB files which are to be converted to KVCDx2 mpeg movie, what should I do in DVD2AVI / FitCD / VirtualDub / TMpeg to get rid of those "comb-like" effect???

if you need to de-interlace , there is a filter in tmpgenc that will do let you choose the type of de-interlace to apply--blend, even field, etc,,,,
Setting, Advanced, DeInterlace (none) it'll say none until you select a de-interlace style, if your movie is interlaced. ztr |
I don't know which type is the correct one; there are so many to select.

Scroll down a little until you get to the deinterlace section. kwag |
I have followed the guide you provided, still no luck. I don't think I have to check "enforce film" in DVD2AVI because it shown as NTSC, right? I can see those "comb-like" effect even when I preview in DVD2AVI. What's wrong?

S,
i almost always choose force film, unless im doing pal. for the deinterlace, have u tried the "Blend Fields" option? There's an article on Doom's site with more on deinterlace n stuff http://www.doom9.org/decomb.htm ztr |
hey syk,
Have you tried the decomb filters for AviSynth? Download decomb.dll and read the help file. FieldDeinterlace works great for me. The help file's post here too: http://www.kvcd.net/forum/viewtopic....d59683259f54a1 |
Thank you, all of you! I have finally fixed the problem by using FitCD with script found in the forum. Have fun!
