CQMatic: My framerate shows up with a bunch of zeros?

I used RC-5 once or twice and got very accurate results. I was away for a few days and downloaded 1.04 and did everything right and when I fire off CQMatic my framerate shows up with a bunch of zeros and the CQ default to 50 even though I set it to 60. This is a DVD source Any ideas??

Needless to say this doesn't work :?

Wait for 1.05 :!:
And the numbers you point in the arrow, they are correct ;)
So is the "50", as set in that phase.

Yea but the framerate is wrong isn't it? It shows up as .0023976 instead of 23.976

Nope 1.05 same problem.

kwag 08-02-2003 07:04 AM

It's not a problem
It's designed that way :!:

I'm Encoding PAL Material but I also get 0.0023976. Shouldn't it be 0.0025 ?

Doh. Sorry for wasting your time I should have done some more reading first. I saw that the frame rate was wierd and didn't see anything in the preview screen but black and the timer seemed messed up. If I would have let it go for a few minutes I would have noticed it was fine

Thanks

Ok now it is running through 2 predictions and jumping to a CQ of 90 to start the encode. I know 90 is to big because I used 81 in ToK and that was even bigger then target. Here is the log. Any ideas?

I tried that and it didn't help. I wasn't having any problems when I was using release candidate 5. humm. Is there anyway I can download RC5 again and try it? I deleted it from my disk. I'd like to compare to see.

As a general rule, one should never "throw away" things, unless they're
considere garbage 8)

Kwag "usually" doesn't delete any of his releases, unless he has to
make room for other items of discussion or house-cleaning chores, which
will probably happen soon.. so grab what you can, and DON'T delete !!

EDIT: - - due to redesign in the makings :) I've cleaned up these
................links to prev versions  - - can't wait :o

Good luck,

Of course you get a CQ of 90. You are probably set for 2 CDs in Moviestacker :!:

Yea I am set for 2 CDs. But I used ToK for the same movie for 2 CD and it picked a CQ of 81. When the encode finished it was 20MB over target so I figured this would be over too. Maybe I'll just let it run and see what happens. Let me try RC5 first. Thanks Guys.

Ok I ran it though RC5 and while the prediction took over an hour on my 3ghz machine I think it is accurate. CQ of 80 where ToK gave 81.9 and was slightly over target. I'll report back with results in 3 hours.

Thanks for all the hard work Kwag I saw your post in the other thread about redesigning the entire thing.

Thanks.
I won't be happy until every encode is at least ~2% of final size.
