hi there @ all

did a few encodes with your plugin and it worked fine!!
no problems with using cqmatic or tmpgenc

the last encode was oversized about 50mb, so have to check where the problem was, but anything else works great for me here!!

So thank you azel for this great tool and keep up your good work!

Nice to hear that the plugin works so I can move on

The only problem with one pass encoding is that you never get 100 % wanted filesize. But I going to add add a kind off reencoding if the filesize is n% over or undersized. I also trying move audioencoding after videoencoding and use HeadAC3he instead of BeSweet (HeadAC3he should make better quality)

@Azel,

The latest pluggin works fine now except for one thing!

When creating a 90 min skvcd, it converts fine, but when trying to burn with Nero, i get the error Wrong Parameters, and fails to burn!

I tried a 90 min encode with your previous stable pluggins, i think 2.0.4 or 5, and that encoded and burnt no problem!

Sounds strange... Have you chacked the filesize?
I also recomand you to use CDrDAO instead of Nero. CDrDAO supports overburn etc, and I think it's much better in many other ways. But remember to have an ASPI driver installed, and you have to enter CDrDAO path before you press "scanbus" in BurnOut setup window! More info here

@Azel,

The final size for 90 min CD was 919MB's, but that burnt ok on previous versions of D2k, version 2.0.5.

Just did a test using the old CQmatic and the new CQmatic, i find the old one gives much better and sharper quality!

I also just did a test using dvd2kvcd2 2.0.5, and created a perfect 90 min CD which burnt ok with nero???

Just thought i would let u know.

Keep up the good work Azel!!

That sounds very strange. It is BurnOut that burns the CD's, not D2K. D2K only sets up the comandline in DVD2SVCD, which starts BurnOut at the end of the conversation. So the burnoptions is exactly the same in the last version of D2K, as in the 2.0.5 version.
But I think you need to enable overburn to burn on 90 min CD's, and Nero's command line burning seems to not support overburn..., but CDrDAO does

The only big difference between 2.0.5 and 2.0.8 is that 2.0.8 suports CQMatic. If you disable CQMatic, 2.0.8 should work almost as 2.0.5, but I recomand to enable CQMatic

The difference between the two CQMatic versions seems also strange... Maybe you can ask kwag about this question...

More problems with this plugin of yours, everything as far as the extraction of audio goes fine, but when it gets to the cqmatic it just does nothing. I put in the bitrate and time of movie in myself(correct if wrong should of done this by it self?), then says it video res not valid? which i can't even edit. Tmpeg is even started to tell it doesn't have the right codec(mpeg4=xvid, right?). And even i got past this i think i still have problems with size of the file which was around 100 mb to big last it was "sucessful".

Maybe it just me you should hold up on updates on plugin and find out whats wrong cause i've used about every different version and nothing seems to work.

@Azel,

I dont us the burnout option, all i use d2k for is purely encoding, nothing more. I then burn with nero afterwards which does support overburn, like i said in my previous post, i burnt a 90 min CD encode no probs with previous beta versions, i'm quite puzzled myself.

Other than that, the pluggin works perfectly for me!

thx

yes d2k should fill in these numbers automatically!
Quote:

sure, you can! in d2s you must go to the misc-tab and select advanced as dvd2svcd level. Now you can choose one of the most common resolutions in the frameserver-tab!
Quote:

nope, mpeg2=svcd,vcd! you don't need a codec for this one! if you want to encode to avi or xvid instead, use gordianknot!

hey azel, just one question:
can i change the settings of your plugin by only changing the dvd2kvcd.ini-file?
since i like to have some specific settings in d2s and your prog overwrites them everytime i use it !

thx crackhead for the info, even though i didn't get what you're saying about mpeg2 thing.

I took off cqmatic and got this error message from Tmpeg:

"The Res of the Video is illegal, window size needs to be set btween 8x8 and 4088x40088, The width and hieght must be a multiple of 8(oh, really lol )

Yes, you can. Start DVD2SVCD normally. The only thing you got to do is enter DVD2KVCD's path instead of TMPGEnc's path in encoder tab

@Big2hd
Seems like something very bad... Can you post DVD2SVCD_log, and DVD2KVCD log. If you uncheck "use CQMatic" DVD2KVCD will only sets up an settings for DVD2SVCD, and D2S will run as normal. So I don't think your problem is causen by DVD2KVCD....
BTW: What is your source?

After the audio extraction I've noticed that there is a black screen with red words(couldn't make the words cause closes fast) in tmpeg like i don't have all codecs but not only do i have all them i put in ffdshow today as well

Also in Res is 604x56(CQMATIC)? I know something missing guessing a 0, but i can't find out why it wouldn't pick this up, when try to open tpr after failed it has to be saved in text

There also two versions avisynth folders in my Program Files/DVD2SVCD folder, and the one in the DVDSVCD folder one doesn't even have plugins folder(BTW i got all dll's)

I also put the lastest optimal script avisynth ini, and i still use my kvcd_lbr/matrice ini the ones posted here awhile ago(I'm think maybe editing would help?)

Sry All for taking up space i just don't want to go back to 3 disc Svcd hell

@ BigHead
It seems like it is some problem with avisynth. Try to uninstall all avisynth versions on our computer, and then install latest DVD2SVCD with Avisynth 2.5x again.
It also seems to be a problem with time length. I'll take a look at that.
And your movie seems to have some strange settings; 24 fps / NTSC

Tried you new version and it keeps doing the same(installed two different tmpeg plus vers and a free tmpeg ver as well)thing at the begining when it is about to make .avs files. I spent to 2 full days working on this

The only good thing about this is i found out what it says in tmpeg in red & black letters:

Script Error there is no function "isYV12"
C:/DVD2SVCD/Movie/Avisynth_Scrpit_file.avs,line 12
C:/DVD2SVCD/MOvie/Avisynth_Script_file.avs,,line 3
Avisource : couldn't locate a decompressor for fourcc mp42

BTW the the res is 556x80? What is up with that!!

PLS. help i can't even go back to way i use to make kvcds now that i have this program on my computer

I think the problem is the avisynt script for DivX. I'm going to update it soon, but in the time before that you can add the script manuelly from Latest optimal scripts for DVD2SVCD.
After this you use DVD2KVCD normally, but you change the DivX script DVD2KVCD make to the script from "Latest optimal scripts for DVD2SVCD". Remember, you have to add a couple of avs plugin, but you find the list on the Latest optimal scripts topic

Thx Azel I'm gonna work on it , but this Avisynth is confusing me

First I have two Avisynth directory yet again in my program files folder(i'm gonna try to unistall to 1 that says avisynth2 assuming thats the old version),

Second there are 2 avisynth plugin folders in my DVD2SVCD folder (named Avisynth2plugins & Avisynth 2.5 plugins) now these two have nothing in it but 5 plugins so i copied all my plugins/dll's from program files folder to that one. Should they be in folder or does it matter?

And last after I'm done picking my settings in dvd2kvcd menu, I go to the frameserver tab in DVD2SVCD and path to the plugins/dll go to the Avisynth 2 folder. Is that right are do I have to use the Avisynth 2.5 folder plugins?
