I had these types of problems and I never knew how to fix it or what caused it, but I have come to a conclusion that 80% of problems with audio video sync had these symptoms. Once you ripped your DVD and open it with DVD2AVI it seems all right, but hit F5 then Esc and move through the move and the weird thing is that the time goes to 0 and then counts up again...maybe once, twice, or even 15 though the movie causing a very small ending time. This usually happens with movies that are multiple episodes, but the weird thing is now there becoming common in newer movies like Sweet Home Alabama and others. I think the problem is once the DVD2AVI clock starts back at zero it cause the video to take more time causing a jump making the audio slower. I heard from someone that all u need to do is rip each part individually, but I want just one project....so anyone with this problem and fixed it please give me advice.

Hi ak47,

What you are describing is the transition from one chapter to the next. So that is normal
Look at the time codes on DVD2AVI, and compare them to the ones read by ChapterXtractor from your IFO file. You'll see that they are the same

Ok I never look to realized that the vob files were split by the chapters internally, but I don't understand why the chapters are in the vob file and they are on a separate file. The real question is how do I get rid of the internal chapters so I can create a single d2v file with out any sync problems.
