What is the best tool for fixing avi files?

what is the Best and most accurate tool for scanning and fixing avi files with bad frame, glitches, skips and freezing?

tools i have tried and did not work well:

... AVIMedic - seems to have found bad frams but you have to do a search on the internet to get a patch in order to fix it, if you cant find the patch your screwed!

...VDub - finds bad frames and unreadable frames, select mask and it seems to fix, but when i play them back the sound is way off where the frames were masked, and the whole movie is screwed!

...DivXFix - also find bad frames and apears to fix them, but run it thru again to make sure it finds the same bad frames over and over, never really fixes them!

...AVIDeFreezer - does not do a damn thing!

...AVI Fixed - does not say if you have bad frames or not, no report , nothing, it just says "fixed", but check it with VDub and they are still there!

...AviFiXP - finds bad frames, says that it fixed them but still finds the bad frames on the same file it just said it fixed!

any other programs that "Really Work" thanx

I use DivFix and it works fine, as long as you use version 1.10, check the "cut bad frames" and click on Rebuild Index. After doing this, DivFix will create a new file without the bad frames. The problem is that you are going to have to resynch subtitles. My guide talks about this subject:

You can also try DivXReapir, but it didn't work for me.
