I've just encoded a divx 2 svcd, using the SVCD settings which come with DVD2SVCD bundle. The encoding took along time as the divx i was encoding is only 40 minutes in total length. I'm not sure to why this happened, maybe there is something wrong with the Divx i dont know.

One other thing, dvd2svcd did too many CQ tests, i believe 12 in total.

Here is the script;

WNASPI32.DLL 4.6.0.1021

I see nothing that is a problem : time is not the most important thing. You have your movie at the end ? So everything is Okay

Note: you problem is a Divx related one. See last announcement of Kwag and check the new forum created today.

Thread closed there, but I can move it to the other forum if you really find you have a problem and look forward for a "solution".

Thx for the reply.

Is it normal to do 12 tests? i havent experienced that before? and each test was taking between 3-4 minutes. So 40 mins on testing cant be right can it?

Would be great to see the post Kwag made regarding Divx. Is it in latest scripts? or maybe u have a link plz?

I just checked the encode, and the sound has cut off towards the last 10-15 minutes, so i'm guessing its the divx file which has problem.

thx

Yes it is.
Let me tell you that "thanks" to the MA script, I discovered that D2S does 20 tests at most and then run on the encoding with the last CQ found, even if it is not the correct one.
