everybody is doing tests with full movie
and i with small movie with 31minutes and 22seconds
for 290mb size target with audio.

a few days i encode using:
CQ63,20 and got 287mb final size with audio.

using the same script i got after 3 tests the same:
CQ63,15....
means...just the same, perfect for my target!

Great jorel

I've encoded four movies today (actually prediction only ), and all have been on target CQ. Even the movie "The Siege", which had failed miserably with other versions
So far, I think this version closes in tighter on final CQ

Hi kwag, sorry I couldn't check in as promised a few days ago, but if you remember I was getting 30-50MB short encodes on my Hybrid material..(70% film converted to 23.97fps with telecide and decimate.)

Well with version 1.11 my last 2 encodes have been within .5% of target on the short side.

Good stuff just wanted to let you know

It's my turn to report a success.

Last time I reported that with 1.1.07 I had an expected 750Mb video that turn out to a real encoded size of 702Mb.

This time, same source, same script, same TMPGENC project : CQMatic 1.1.11 gives to me a 735 Mb file. It near 2.5% : great !

Note: I did a PAL Divx. For the ones who ask if CQMatic can do other thing than NTSC and/or DVD...
