KVCD and moviestacker - unrecognized exception?

I'm trying to follow RED-M's guide from herehttp://www.kvcd.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=3097.Everything goes okay,not first time ripping a DVD and encoding just my first encode from DVD-KVCD,till I get to using MovieStacker.On his guide his version is 1.1,I have The latest one which is okay just have to navigate a little to find some of the stuff he talks about.Now when I save my .avs script and open it in TMPGenc I have to drop my menu down to all files(Is this Normal?).When I go and encoe my test file it only comes out to 600kb.Am I doing something wrong here?

I am trying to rip Lotr-TTT,which I just got yesterday.I am testing out the "KVCDx2-CQ-704x480-_NTSCFilm_-PLUS.mcf" template.Also in my TMPGenc window it says,while encoding the sample file,
"unrecognized exception!
{c:Documents and Settings:My Name:My Documents:LOTR-TTT\Test Script.avs line 12}
I'm lost and have looked over the guide three times now,redoing it each time,and still even with the KVCDx2 CQ 704x480 at 90Cg setting get a Sample video of only 644kbs.

Anyone have any suggestions?
Thanks.

Okay well that's done.I finally went searching on the forum here and low and behole in the FAQS it says
".d2v files created with dvd2avi v1.77.3 are NOT compatible with mpeg2dec.dll! Use v1.76 instead. If you still want to use v1.77.3, make sure that you have AviSynth v2.5 installed and mpeg2dec3.dll v1.07 (or a more recent version). "

Doh!!!I was using version 1.77.3.So I decided to go to the download section and try the link for version 1.76.Link didn't work.I did find one at doom9.org.

Sorry for the stupid post.

did you try to find in the dvd2avi thread?

there have one post called:
dvd2avi faqs....everything you need is there,
will be better than one simple link to download!

:wink:
