Hi All,

Is there anyone out there that can tell me, preferably in point form, how to properly install and config each of these tools so that I can do the following:

Aquire some VOBs, Create my project with DVD2Avi, run FitCD to create an .AVS script and have TMPGenc read the script to produce an Mpeg2 file based on both Kwag's full and half D1 templates.

Please include version numbers for the tools that you know know work in this scenario and any extra tweaks that may be needed.

This has been driving me nuts as I do not seems to be able to config these tools properly.

Many thanks in advance.

Hi MoovyGuy !
What is u'r prob ?
Why don't u read Sefi's guides ?!!!
U have there all needed progs and links !
If u already did than read it again and unpack all needed prog's to different directory , so u'll not get a mess .
Try to arrange everything slow and easy !
Don't be hurry !
U'll succeed !

Hey BMan,

Sefi's guides are fine, but they assume that everything installs properly the first time.

In my case, most importantly, I cannot get TMPGenc to recognize an .AVS file. I always get "Unrecognized Exception" reading line two of the AVS file, even though there is nothing wrong with the AVS file.
'
Can you offer any advice ?

Hi MoovyGuy:

You're using the new DVD2AVI right? Well, sad news!, they changed the structure of the .d2v and now AviSynth chokes!
Go back to version 1.76 if you want to use AviSynth. If you plan on reading the .d2v directly with TMPEG, then you can use the new 1.77.3
Hopefully it won't be too long before a solution comes up.

Hey Kwag & BMan ...

Well that did it !! :P

I dropped back to v1.76 of DVD2Avi and all is well now...

Got FitCD working and I'm now producing content just fine.

Kwag, I've also been running tests on using your GOP with a standard matrix. In this case, I've been testing them with the KDVD templates.

I'll add my comments to the thread in the KVCD templates section.

Thanks
