Excuse me but I don't understand your answer : does your player handle KVCD correctly or not ? In other words, did you test this :

my player plays kvcd, but has a very little jerkiness while playing it also does it when i try it on mp pc, u will not notice it if u are not looking 4 it
|
but it doesn't do that when i play a movie from code 9
|
I used to see jerkiness also when I use CQ_VBR mode but nothing with CQ.
Your problem can also come from 23.97 movies that are 2:3 pulldown to 29.97. You should give more details on what you do. |
I also use CQ ,when i load the templates it's always 23.97 but afer i put in the video it changes 2 30fps,should i go to settings and change it back to 23.97
|
how would u load up a video 720x384// 29f/s

When you tell "put in the video" you mean in what ? TMPGEnc ? You must encode in MPEG2, and set in tmpgenc "23.97 internally 29.97" and the pulldown to "3:2 pulldown while play back". |

Load where ? To do what ? What is the problem you encounter ? My english is perhaps too poor but "load up" isn't even an expression I understand. So try to be a little more "schoolish" in your formulation please. We are far to be all natural english speakers here. |
sorry about that,ok here goes. I'm using tmpegenc. After I load the template this is what u see at the bottom of tmpg, mpeg-1 352x240 23.976fps CQ70 after i put the video into tmpg it reads , mpeg-1 720x384 30fps CQ 70

is there any other setting i should ajust like fps, the original video is 29fps

found the problem it was fps that caused the little jerks, thanks 4 u'r help,it steered me in the right direction ,this is an excellent forum.

I'm happy you find the solution to your problem but I just wanted to tell somethign about this :

But be carreful : if you have a source fps different than the one of the template (like here) you will have audio synch problem if you don't care. |
So what are the TMPGEnc settings for avi's that are NTSC TV captures and are currently at 29.976 (or 30fps) to get to the correct frame rate to eliminate the jerky playback I am experiencing?
