program that shows if film is encoded in vcd/svcd/kvcd ?
 

Is there a small program that will tell you if a film is encoded in vcd/svcd/kvcd etc?

If so where can i get it?

All i know is when i open my movie in power dvd it tells me its an mpeg-1 which is vcd, but is there a way of telling if it is kvcd?

Hi Derek,

I believe you would need an expensive MPEG analyzer, that could see the quantization matrix being decoded in the stream. Then you could tell what matrix is being used, and only then you could tell if it was a KVCD encode.
