How to Import VRO file from DVD-RAM to Premiere?

Hi Kwag and others,
Is there a way to import the VRO file (or d2v file created by DVD2AVI) into Primiere. I want to cut the commerical (TV program) and apply transition between each cutting point. Thanks in advance!

@Kwag, I just bought Panasonic DMR-E60 (without hard disk). Did you experience this: If you turn on the Hybird VBR option, the capture will slip into 2 parts (Left and Right), one side of the capture will freeze while the other side records the TV program as usual. You will not see this in TV but after transferring the VRO to PC, you will see it in DVD2AVI or Virtual Dub. I guess this is the way how Hybird VBR works in order to save disc space to record more on the disc. Therefore, I have to disable Hybird VBR function because I can't correct the capture in PC.

That's strange :!:
I always record with Hybrid VBR ( A Panasonic term for CQ encoding  )
I usually copy from my DMR-E80 (Hard-Drive -> DVD-RAM ) and then in my PC I make a .d2v project to encode. It always looks correct. However, if you have one segment recorded at one quality, and another segment at another quality ( XP, LP, etc. ), then you will have problems processing that .VRO file :!:

Hi there,
I am still using my Panasonic DMR-E60 (I just can't stop loving it). I am wondering how can I just keep one language of a Nicam TV show. I use the same way as posted above, after demuxing the audio by using DVD2AVI, there will be an AC3 audio file. I just don't know how to extract just one language. Thanks in advance.

What :!:
Do you mean your audio stream has two channels recorded 8O

You can't extract just one track but you can convert only the one you need into mp2. All depend on how you are producing your mp2 from the ac3 file.

Panasonic DMR's don't record multiple audio channels :!:
That's why I asked :?

thanks for the replies. So, that means I have to select the audio channel that I want when I record the TV show, right? If so, DMR-E60 has to manually select the audio channel and the worst part is that audio channel can only be selected while recording. I can't select the audio channel in timer recording. So, I can't set the timer to record program A with audio 1 and program B with audio 2.

Hi syk2c11,

The DMR only has one audio input (left, right) per source selection :!:
What are you recording from :?:
You have to select the audio preference at your source, so when the DMR starts to record, it will record the audio channel you want.

So if you select the main channel, Japanese, isn't that what it outputs :?:
After you set it to main channel, that should be it :!:
Then when you set your DMR for time recording, it should record whatever you set at the source. In this case, Japanese language :)
