TMPGEnc: Error in Kernel32 just appeared
I`ve been using the most recent version of tmpgenc for a while with no problems under windows me (AMD XP1800, 256 Megabytes DDR ram) to convert xvid / divx encoded avi`s to kvcd.
Recently TMPGenc gives me a message saying "error in kernel32.dll" when it tries to encode yet nothing has changed. I have even re-installed windows with just the basics (twice in two days) to no avail. I can`t find out why it does this and have tried the recommendations on links elsewhere here to change the priority of certain features. Does anyone have any ideas as without it I can no longer create kvcds? Thanks :? |
Hi DVDfan ,when i first started converting to KVCD i had sort of the same problem with ME and tmpge. My problem was everytime i closed tmpge i got that error and had to reboot the computer. All my problem was i didn't have the readavs dll and the settings in enviromental tab in tmpge were wrong
Since you have been doing this for a while its probably not it but doesn't hurt to look |
Hi, I`ve never had a readavs.dll that I know of but have never had problems before. I use just TMPGenc to do the video and audio instead of some of the other methods I`ve seen and it`s worked until now
I was wondering if its possible for something to overwrite or affect the kernel of windows me, I wouldn`t expect so, but not having added anything can`t figure out a cause. Thanks for the idea and will look into this readavs :) |
