I'm using AVI2SVCD's decompress.exe to decompress the audio from XVID. Then Encoding in TMPGEnc as MPEG1 both aspect ratios set to 16:9 NTSC, motion predict and "full screen, keep aspect ratio". It gives me rather good results. I watch my movies from 32" Sony Widescreen.

The question is, should i use AVS script in the middle, does that improve the qulity? And how about first separating the audio and video in VirtualDub, does that have any affect Then where should i do the adding audio to video? (muxing?) What would be the best procedure..

I also read that "Only use MPEG2 if MPEG1 doesn't work, MPEG1 is better quality" -from kwag example..

Really appreciate the answers to these questions, Thank you
