KVCD: Splitting my file to 2 CDs?

I apologize if this has been asked/answered before, but I couldn't find it anywhere.

I used ToK to manage the encoding of a 3-hour video which I requested be split into 2 80min CDs. I let it run for a bit to see that it was going to encode at a CQ I considered acceptable, then took my heavily-allergy-medicated self to bed. Got up this morning, and for some reason my machine had rebooted during the night. Fortunately this appeared to take place after the video encoding was done (7 hrs worth), but before ToK had gotten a chance to send the file to be multiplexed and split by bbMPEG.

I tried to use bbMPEG from scratch, but am apparently too stupid. I could not find a way to get it to load the audio portion of the file for multiplexing. Finally downloaded the little MUXing interface I found in the bbMPEG forum, SlimG, and did it with that. However, even though I THOUGHT I designated a max file size in SlimG, it was all muxed as a single file.

Does anybody know of any handy little splitter I can use to make 2 files out of this please? My frustration level at this point in time is higher than the pollen level in these parts, and that's saying something.

Thanks in advance,

Dris

hy Drisanna

if your source is dvd you can divide using programs like dvdfab!
two dvd2avi projects and two scripts to encode.

if your source is avi(xvid, divx),you can use trim to divide the movie!
2 scripts using trim and fade, will give good result!

Or you can use tmpgenc“s mpeg tools merge & cut.

Thanks guys. . . was all done encoding and muxing, just needed to split the final .mpg into 2, since I'd predicted and sized it that way. :) I found one that I'm checking out now. . . thanks for the help.

oh excuse...now i see ...the movie is encoded!
:imstupid:

use tmpgenc mpegtools merge and cut like Cheron post
or womble mpegvcr...is easy to cut and with fade...
(no drastic cuts in the end of the first cd or in the begining of the second).

:)
