i used an avs script to resize a 592 x 320 to a 352x240 resolution......but although the output was 352x240 it had black bars on the top and bottom....this meant that it just resized the frame but didnt stretch it to become fullscreen....I want it fullscreen.....i know people fround upon this buit i reallly want it and want to know how you can make a kvcd with it....do u use it in the script? how do i do it?.....please dont redirect me to a page explaining why widescreen is better.....i just want to stretch the video to completely fit the tv screen.....NOT CROP.....thanks...

You mean you want to take a wide screen movie, and stretch it vertically
You still want to do it Then go in TMPEG and choose: "No Margin (keep aspect ratio)"
That should fill the screen 4:3, and chop off the sides of the picture. There's no way around it, if you want to keep the aspect
Unless you want to keep the width, and then you'll have everyone in the movie looking tall and stretched

If you want to keep the aspect ratio, the only way to get a full 4:3 Screen is to cut left and right, but you will lose much Picture informations.
In tmpgenc you can make it in this way:
At "Video arrange Method" select "Full screen(keep aspect ratio)"

Mark the Clip Frame Filter and doubleclick it, do get to its settings.

In this Window, mark the "Resized image is used to display preview" field, that you can see the results of your Changes directly.
Now you can raise the "right" and "left" values until the picture is Fullscreen.
as i said, you will lose much Picture informations
Good Luck

sorry....maybe i didnt explain properly.....what i meant to say was that i DONT want to keep the aspect ratio.......i WANT to stretch the movie.....dont ask me why....i just want to......i know how to do this in a normal vcd.....in tmpgenc settings-video arrange method- i choose Full Screen......But i have tried encoding a movie just by using the templates and the result quality is not that good....so i looked into the avs scripts and the black prince guide......in programs like TOK, i dont get time to go to tmpgenc and choose the fullscreen option......it just starts encoding.....so i want a way to use those guides with the scripts and use the fullscreen option....I know the CQ needed so do i reallly need TOK??
If not then how do i go about without it????

CAn someone please answer these questions....

remember....
I WANT to stretch the video
I DONT WANT to keep the aspect ratio
I DONT WANT to clip the frame

He just wants to build an anamorphic KVCD Enkoding, thats all.
But he will get less CQ when there is more Picture Information in the vertical of the video!

I don't gonna ask you why but I can say you that this ONLY makes Sense if you got an anamorphic Source too! Because you just wanna stretch your "source" before enkoding using TmpgEnc.
