splitting KDVD Half D-1 files with bbMpeg?

Greetings to the group at-large...

I've been using the KDVD Half D1 template to turn out 352x480 SVCD's and have been splitting the files with bbMpeg to fit them on multiple CDRs. I noticed in the TMPG-related forum on this site that Kwag advised someone to set "Forced Mux Rating" to 0 when splitting KVCDs....does this apply to splitting KDVD Half D1s as well? Are there any unusual settings I should be paying attention to when splitting KDVDs with bbMpeg? (Yes, I'm demuxing with TMPG first, btw.)

I've only just started to use bbMpeg to split files...the fact that it will separate files according to my maximum specification is great...just not sure if I'm missing any special options I should be selecting, since I'm not familiar with bbMpeg.

Thanks for your time!
Dave

Hi Yautja666:

If you don't get any errors when you mux with BBmpeg, your're fine!. I haven't tried that yet. The mux trick is usually needed for VCD's with VBR. But the KDVD templates are MPEG-2, so VBR is already part of the specs, and you shoildn't have a problem.
