What kind of error message did you receive from TmpgEnc DVD Author?

Do you encode using PAL or NTSC?
What kind of GOP Settings did you use in the KDVD Template? Did you changed them?
- GOP/Frames max at PAL is 15
- GOP/Frames max at NTSC is 18

Did you set the mpeg encoding mode to different mode?
DVD= mpeg2 at 352x576(480), 704x576(480) and 720x576(480), mpeg1 at 352x288(240)

Check this!

If you use the template I believe it is within the DVD specs as 1/2 DVD...I have run into one player though that wouldn't play it. Couldn't give you the brand off hand, but it played it half screen with the other half green. My Pioneer and Apex both have no trouble with it.

I hadn't run into any problems authoring with DVD-lab or SpruceUP, both took the 1/2 DVD format without a problem.
