Hi

i have a kvcd and when i play it the picture stops but the audio carrys on then it all catchs up, plays ok fro a while then does the samthing again and keeps on doing that all through it. does any one no how i can sort this out so it palys ok??

Coz i wanting to convert it to dvd, ive already converted it once to dvd but the resulting dvd was doing the same in my stand alone dvd player.

What source did you use (avi or dvd)? If you used an avi, it could be due to badframes in the source. You always have to check it for badframes. Is your standalone cpable of playing (k)vcd?

its from dvd and yes my player does play kvcd's

Well maybe ..

1. Bad CD-R Media (My first KVCD encoding was "stuttering" cause of bad media)

2. Bad VBV Buffer settings? Did you change something?

3. min.Bitrate at CQ mode is to low to be handled by your stand alone player?
(when do these stop's & go's occur? At very dark scenes with almost no motion?)

have you actually used KVCD of the same sort(resolution, bitrate etc) on your stand alone, or are you getting this information from a reference?

im playing iton my computer as in windows media player, and i burnt it to cd to paly in my stand alone and it done the same thing
